A feedback board, and this changelog

You can now tell us what Apidoke should do next, in the open.

  • Post a feature request or a bug report on the public board, no account needed
  • Vote on what other people have asked for, so we can see what matters most
  • Follow a request through open, planned, in progress and shipped

This changelog is the other half of it. When something you asked for ships, it shows up here, linked back to the request it came from.

New feature

Import an existing OpenAPI or Swagger file

The most requested feature on our board is here. Bring your existing API description into Apidoke instead of retyping it.

How it works

When you create a project, upload an OpenAPI 3 or Swagger 2 file and Apidoke scaffolds the whole blueprint for you.

  • Paths and operations become resource groups and actions
  • Component $refs are resolved into editable example bodies
  • Polish the prose and publish, the try-it console works straight away

New feature

Multi-language code samples in every reference

Readers no longer have to translate a curl command by hand. Each endpoint now shows ready-to-paste snippets in the language they work in.

  • curl, JavaScript (fetch) and Python (requests)
  • Generated from your documented headers and example body
  • A language switcher remembers each readers choice

Improved

A faster editor for large blueprints

We reworked how the live preview renders. Big references now stay smooth while you type.

  • The parse is debounced so it does not run on every keystroke
  • The preview updates incrementally instead of re-rendering the whole document
